Everything about The Letterman Army Hospital totally explained

The Letterman Army Hospital was located on the Presidio of San Francisco and was established around 1898.

History

The hospital built in 1898, and was named in 1911 for Jonathan Letterman, who was featured in every US foreign conflict in the 20th century, and remained in service until the army base was decomissioned in 1995.
The historic building was demolished in the 1960s to establish a modern building which was erected in 1969.
The building was abandoned in 1994 when the base was transferred to the National Park Service and was demolished in 2002. In 2005, Lucasfilm opened the Letterman Digital Arts Center on the site of the old hospital.
